WWW Track Day at Donington Park 19th October
Our Sponsors WinWin World along with the BM Racing team held a Track Day for customers, staff and interested parties at Donington Park on 19th October. Both of the WinWin SR3 RS Radical cars were running on the day which was an open pit lane event.
The day was very busy and very exciting with far less traffic than normal allowing the cars to run at high speed for most of the day. The weather was bright with a couple of light showers giving passengers a perfect experience of both wet and dry conditions. WinWin customers attended from as far North as Stirling in Scotland down to the South coast. Everyone said they would like to come to the next track day event which should be around April 2012.

Track Day for WinWin Guests 9th May

The day was an "Open Pit Lane" with the PR6 and the SR3RS (Le Mans prototype)

Fantastic conditions bright and warm with the odd downpour adding to the excitement. Team Manager John Miskin was present along with a number of WinWin guests. The South Circuit is actually a 2-mile loop section of the Grand Prix Circuit.
Every one present had a ride in the SR3RS which is quite an experience as they were running at near full race speed on what was quite a clear track on the day. Driving the cars were Ben and Michael Jackson who form the BM Racing team, support was courtesy of In2 Racing.

BM Racing move from Radical to In2
Michael and Ben have resigned from the Radical works team and have appointed In2 Racing as their support team and Nick Dudfield as team engineer. BM Racing are currently in a program of testing to choose cars and a series for the 2012 season. Brands Hatch 13, 14, 15th August 2010
You may have thought that BM Racing had faded away into the sunset after the final weekend last year
at Brands Hatch in the Ginetta G50 when Ben surprised the massive BTCC crowd with a spectacular
display of race craft in front of over 50,000 spectators and live television................. You were wrong! This
season has been one of consolidation and planning for the future.

There have been some changes, with BM Racing disposing of the Radical SR8 that proved to be so
unreliable last year and obtained a new 2010 Radical SR3 RS which was raced this weekend by Ben
and Michael Jackson in front of the teams’ new Corporate Sponsor WinWin World and their guests.

This weekend followed the launch at Silverstone Grand Prix circuit last Wednesday, when WinWin World
brought many of their major customers and suppliers to a conference where the corporate partnership
with BM Racing was announced. Following the launch, over 30 of their guests enjoyed the thrill of being
taken around the circuit in the newly livered WinWin World Radical SR3 RS at close to race speed by
Michael and Ben Jackson. The day was immensely successful both for the team and more importantly,
the new corporate sponsors WinWin World.

Just to keep you all in the picture, Ben Jackson will be competing this coming weekend in the Barwell
Racing Ginetta G50 at Silverstone in the BTCC Touring Car event on both Saturday and Sunday (21st/
22nd August) with the new WinWin World livery. There will be a final couple of races at the Silverstone
1000km Le Mans Series race meeting in the WinWin World Radical PR6 on the 11th and 12th September

– TESTING

After a faultless track day on Wednesday, a full days testing took place at Brands Hatch on Friday in
preparation for the two races this weekend. The weather was somewhat mixed so a good dry set up was
found and the opportunity to discover a wet slippery set up was investigated. The issue at Brands Hatch
for the test and the weekend was the fact the majority of the circuit had been re-surfaced 4 days before,
and although beautifully smooth, it created a skating rink when the rain started as the new tarmac oozed
its oils and tar onto the surface and mixed with the rain to create a perfect skid pan surface! It was nigh
on impossible to stand up on the track let alone drive on it when it rained. This proved to make a very
interesting and spectacular display of synchronised spinning whenever it rained or the track was damp
over the entire weekend.

In the dry, both Michael and Ben set epic lap times with Ben doing 4 laps under the 45 second mark with
a best of 44.72 seconds (the lap record is 45.37 seconds) and these times were set on old tyres. In the
wet it was difficult to tell what was quick but suffice to say, the BM Racing WinWin World Radical SR3
RS was the quickest car out there on the day, and that includes the Radical SR8’s and the professional
drivers that out on circuit.

– QUALIFYING

Saturday morning’s qualifying was undertaken on a damp track and the grids for both the races were a
complete lottery with the new surface oozing oil and no dry line forming at all. Ben would line up on the
second row of the grid for the first race and Michael on the ninth row for the second race. Times were
irrelevant and the races would be the important factor. It gave our WinWin World guests an amazing
display of spins and crashes that were all witnessed from the hospitality box overlooking the start/ finish straight that gave a superb view of the entire circuit. BM Racing were delighted to welcome so many
enthusiastic guests to the Brian Jones Suite, and during the day they all had a wonderful experience of
witnessing some of Britain’s best racing drivers pirouetting in the conditions. Initially we thought that
these top guests of WinWin World would not appreciate the slippery conditions – we were wrong, as
they all said that they had enjoyed one of the best days motor racing ever!

– RACE 1

The track was really wet and, yes, we joined the others in a fine display of spinning, grass cutting,
overtaking, locking up and everything that we shouldn’t be doing in a race. We were not alone as on one
corner alone there were 17 spinners and a multitude of minor shunts. We gracefully spun several times
before finally spinning so far that the car broke its starter motor while doing a reverse pirouette deep
into the undiscovered part of the inner landscape of Brands Hatch. Our race ended to the applause of
our guests!

– RACE 2

This race was on Sunday, and the weather was actually dry! This race was again witnessed by a full
hospitality suite with WinWin World guests and the TV camera was fitted to the SR3 RS because they
thought they would get some very viewable footage for the programme.
We did not disappoint as the tape will show when it is televised next week (times and dates to be
confirmed). Because of our pirouetting display that would have been more at home in Swan Lake, we
started the race from the back of the grid, and Michael gave a fine display for WinWin World guests and
particularly the television viewers, with several daring manoeuvres while overtaking, followed by a high
speed spin while attempting to overtake in Clearways corner and then a slow speed spin a the Druids
hairpin. At the point when Michael came into the pits to change driver, he was towards the back of the
grid, and Ben stepped into the driving seat to give a master class in carving his way through the field to
finish 9th and setting the second quickest lap of the race.
Our guests again thought the whole race had more entertainment than all the Grand Prix’s put together!

– EPILOGUE

This was the first race of 2010 and we didn’t have high expectations of a good result (good thing!), but
what it did prove to BM Racing was that you don’t have to win to please the sponsors and their guests.
We have had four full days of track action since last Wednesday with no mechanical problems
whatsoever, and have taken over 30 WinWin World guests out in the new car at speeds that most
viewers only see at a Grand Prix, entertained a fantastic bunch of enthusiastic guests over the weekend
thanks to our new Corporate Partners, and had a lot of fun and enjoyment in the process.
I am not reporting two wins or two pole positions or a handful of lap records or a mass of points, I just
need to say thank you to our sponsors and lets have some more fun in the next two weekends of racing
that we have coming up in the next month.
This is a precursor to next year and some interesting developments that are in the pipeline. I will then be
reporting about wins and points and podiums and..........
WinWin Track Day

We were blessed with good weather and an open pit lane so most of the guests managed to get a go in the car with each of our drivers. The new SR3 went very well with no technical issues, everything is now in place for the first race which is at Brands Hatch this weekend. All the guests of WinWin World are invited to the 2-day event our results and overview of the weekend will be posted here.
